Biography
Rafael Cabrera is a proud alumnus of Lake Elsinore School District, having attended Withrow Elementary, Terra Cotta Middle School, and graduating from Lakeside High School. He continued his education at San Diego State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education under the mentorship of Dr. Shannon Kitelinger.
During his time at SDSU, Mr. Cabrera performed with the Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra at prestigious venues and events, including concerts in San Francisco, Fresno, San Diego, and the College Band Directors National Association Conference in Las Vegas.
Passionate about advancing music education and performance, Mr. Cabrera co-founded the Sol Wind Ensemble, a group dedicated to presenting summer concerts in San Diego that feature exciting and relevant works from the modern band repertoire.

Mr. Cabrera believes that music has the power to impact students from all backgrounds. He strives to ensure that every student hears something beautiful every single day, creating an inclusive and inspiring classroom environment where all students can experience the joy and transformative power of music.
